Replacing the Fleetguard fuel filter

The fuel starts pumping through the system, including the fuel filter, from the moment the engine is started. The Fleetguard fuel filter is developed to catch water and particles within its casing with special filtering techniques. After a while, the filter will be full of water and particles and this can impact the performance of the engine because the fuel cannot pass through the filter properly. When the filter is used for a longer time it is a good measure to replace it for a brand new Fleetguard Filter. The parts manual prescribes where the fuel filter is mounted on the machine. Normally this will be mounted on a convenient place between the engine and the fuel tank. The fuel filter has an inlet for the fuel and an outlet for the cleaned fuel. Make sure you connect the fuel filter in the right way.
