Impurities that are in the fuel are filtered out with a fuel filter. These impurities are for example small particles that do not belong in the fuel and water. Without the fuel filter these particles could cause damage and irregularities in the engine to the point where the engine malfunctions. Replacing the Fleetguard fuel filter

From the moment the engine is started, the fuel runs through the hoses and the fuel filter to the engine. The fuel filter is specifically designed by Fleetguard to filter out the water and particles from the fuel. After a while, the filter will be full of water and particles and this can impact the performance of the engine because the fuel cannot pass through the filter properly. It is then time to replace the fuel filter for a new Fleetguard filter. The parts manual prescribes where the fuel filter is mounted on the machine. This will be somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. The fuel filter is recognized by its inlet for the fuel hose and the outlet where the filtered fuel runs through. Check the connection when replacing the fuel filter.
