y blades for Krone machines

Mounting RDM-3329600 y blades

Y blades are mounted with shackles and bolts to the flail mower. For an optimal result, they are mounted as a pair on the end of a chain or shackle. This gives the mower more range. These are mounted to a rotating roll inside the mowing deck.

The difference between y-blades and flails

A y blade differs from a flail in the uses that it is designed for, because a y blade is better used for less severe mowing jobs. Both mowing parts ensure a fine mowing result. But a flail is bigger and is thus better suited for mowing other thick plants like bushes. At the same time a flail can also damage a tree, whilst this is harder with a y blade.
