The RAMT2903 reels fits for your John Deere reelmower and replaces the original with nummer AMT2903. Mowers with cutting reels are mainly used for precise mowing jobs on the sports and golf courses and for the public green spaces. This is due to the even mowing result of the reel and the ability to cut the grass exactly down to the millimetre.
A series of sharp blades are put on a cylinder and come into contact with the bedknife. In the case of the RAMT2903 the reel has 7 blades on the cylinder. The rotating movement catches the grass between the reel and the bedknife. To get a nice looking pitch, the blade has to be sharp. If this is not the case, the grass damages because it is torn instead of cut.
