The R4005-7 reels fit on the mowers from Toro and replace the original parts with number
A reel consist of twisted knives that are placed on a cylinder. The R4005-7 had 7 blades mounted on the cylinder. The reel and bedknife are placed opposing each other so the grass cut between the reel and the bedknife. A requirement for this is that the knife edges on either side are very sharp. A dull blade can rip the grass which causes damage to the grass plant.
Reels R4005-7 worn down?
When do you know if your reel is worn down? Your reel is not worn down when the blades are dull. It can at all times be sharpened. When the diameter of the reel is to small or the cutting result is not nice or the reel and bedknife can ‘t be setup correctly anymore, it is time to get a new one.
Original Toro R4006-7?
