Fleetguard fuel filter FS1247

Impurities that are in the fuel are filtered out with a fuel filter. These impurities are for example small particles that do not belong in the fuel and water. Without the fuel filter these particles could cause damage and irregularities in the engine to the point where the engine malfunctions. Replace the fuel filter when the guidelines for the fuel filter FS1247of Fleetguard prescribe a replacement should be done. The parts manual of the machine tells you more about replacement intervals and the right parts, check if the FS1247 fits your machine.

Replacing the Fleetguard fuel filter

The fuel starts pumping through the system, including the fuel filter, from the moment the engine is started. The fuel filter is specifically designed by Fleetguard to filter out the water and particles from the fuel. When the machine is used for a long time, the filter will slowly start to fill up with the impurities. When the filter is used for a longer time it is a good measure to replace it for a brand new Fleetguard Filter. The parts manual prescribes where the fuel filter is mounted on the machine. This will be somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. The fuel enters the fuel filter through a specific inlet and the filtered fuel will exit through an outlet. When mounting the part, check if the fuel filter is properly connected to the system.
