Fleetguard fuel filter FF5450
The fuel filter of Fleetguard cleanses the impurities from the fuel before it enters the combustion engine. This dirt could be water, sand or dust that possibly entered the fuel during a fill up. Without the fuel filter these particles could cause damage and irregularities in the engine to the point where the engine malfunctions. In the filter there is a purposely designed technique that separates the water and particles from the fuel and catches it in the filter. After a while, the filter will be full of water and particles and this can impact the performance of the engine because the fuel cannot pass through the filter properly. It is then time to replace the fuel filter for a new Fleetguard filter. Check the parts manual for the place of the fuel filter on the machine. This will be somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. The fuel filter has an inlet for the fuel and an outlet for the cleaned fuel. When mounting the part, check if the fuel filter is properly connected to the system.
