Fleetguard fuel filter FF5147
Impurities that are in the fuel are filtered out with a fuel filter. This dirt could be water, sand or dust that possibly entered the fuel during a fill up. Replacing the Fleetguard fuel filter
The fuel starts pumping through the system, including the fuel filter, from the moment the engine is started. The fuel filter is specifically designed by Fleetguard to filter out the water and particles from the fuel. These water and pieces will slowly clog the filter. Before the filter is fully clogged it is important to replace it for a new one. The parts manual prescribes where the fuel filter is mounted on the machine. This will be somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. The fuel enters the fuel filter through a specific inlet and the filtered fuel will exit through an outlet. Check the connection when replacing the fuel filter.
