Seals and O-rings
Seals and O-rings are small parts with a big responsibility. They keep hydraulic fluid inside the system, prevent leakage and ensure that the working pressure is reliably maintained. A good seal is therefore decisive for the service life and performance of pumps, motors and cylinders.

Expert tip: material and sizing
The reliability of a seal stands or falls with the correct sizing and material choice. An O-ring that is just slightly too large or too small, or that is made of an unsuitable material, soon leads to leakage or premature failure. Always check the inner diameter, the thickness and the material, and match this to the hydraulic oil used and the prevailing temperature. When in doubt, it is wise to measure the old seal and compare it with the specifications of your system. During an overhaul, preferably always replace the complete set of seals, so you are not confronted with leakage again shortly after the repair.
Replacing seals and O-rings in good time prevents pressure loss, contamination and consequential damage to more expensive components. A leak-free system works more efficiently, more safely and more reliably.
