Expert tip: replace the cartridge instead of the whole pump
A major advantage of many vane pumps is that the actual wearing parts, the vanes and the ring, are housed in a replaceable cartridge. When performance declines or noise increases, it is therefore often enough to replace only the cartridge instead of the complete pump. Always check the displacement, the rotation direction and the connection sizes, and compare these with the specifications of your machine. Also make sure the hydraulic oil is clean, as dirt particles considerably accelerate wear of the vanes.
By addressing wear in good time, you preserve the characteristic calm and smooth operation of the vane pump and prevent vibrations or pressure fluctuations from loading the other components. A well-maintained vane pump thus contributes to a stable and reliable hydraulic system.
