The fuel starts pumping through the system, including the fuel filter, from the moment the engine is started. The fuel filter is specifically designed by Fleetguard to filter out the water and particles from the fuel. These water and pieces will slowly clog the filter. Before the filter is fully clogged it is important to replace it for a new one. Check the parts manual for the place of the fuel filter on the machine. Normally this will be mounted on a convenient place between the engine and the fuel tank. The fuel filter has an inlet for the fuel and an outlet for the cleaned fuel. Check the connection when replacing the fuel filter.
