The R5954 reels fits for your reelmower and replaces the original with nummer R5955. The reelmowers is very precise in its mowing on the golf course and sport field. This is due to the even mowing result of the reel and the ability to cut the grass exactly down to the millimetre.
Mowing reels have a set of blades on a cylinder. The R5954 had 6 blades mounted on the cylinder. The rotating movement catches the grass between the reel and the bedknife. A requirement for this is that the knife edges on either side are very sharp. A dull blade tears the grass and damages it on top of that it makes the grass look unevenly cut.
Reels R5954 worn down?
A worn down reel? Luckily, in most cases your reel is just dull. The blades can easily be sharpened. A reel is worn down only when the diameter of the reel becomes to small, the cutting result is bad after sharpening or when you cant set up the reel and the bedknife correctly.
